The PDX Project is Portland-based and Portland-proud.
With The PDX Carpet in tow, we are about to launch an interconnected series of Portland-centric products and events. We want to return as much of our cherished airport carpet to the community as possible.
We are repurposing PDX Carpet into an array of products, including area rugs, door mats, luggage tags, and pet accessories. Raw carpet squares will also be available. In addition to the repurposing of The Carpet we plan to launch a series of Portland-themed footwear and apparel incorporating the carpet design into shoes, socks, and accessories.
The PDX Project is determined to use the proceeds of our sales to give back to the community the way that the PDX Carpet has given us all joy over these years. We will be donating some of our proceeds to local charities and exciting community projects.
The PDX Project also collaborates with One Grand Gallery, a contemporary art and design gallery in Portland, Oregon. Together we produced a PDX Carpet themed art exhibition showing one-of-a-kind artwork created with pieces of the carpet and using the famous design. The show ran July 10th-25th, 2015.
